Jamie Oliver reduced to tears trying to help Fat Americans




Jamie Oliver, the poplular british chef is filming an american TV show called FOOD REVOLUTION. In this show he is trying to help one of americans unhealthiest cities (Huntingtom, West Virginia). However it is apparent that residents of the city were hostile towards Jamie Oliver and his ideas. I myself have watched the first two episodes online, it is a shame about how much flack he is getting over this. In one of the episodes it shows the kind of food kids are getting at school. It is disgusting, chips, pizza and crisps are not healthy food to be serving in the canteen. I am one of the believers that a fat person should blame themselves and not the corporations, however encouraging kids to eat unhealthy is just wrong. Could this be why people are addicted to unhealthy food. Being fed unhealthy food from a young age will make it hard for a person to give up as he or she gets older.

Nintendo Wii a good alternative for exercising?

Last week I finally bought a Wii, yes I know I am a few years late but what the heck. I was enjoying incredible games like Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart, until my sister told me to buy a game called Wii Fit. She said the game is a great alternative for exercizing. I knew about this game already, however I was unsure if it was actually any good and if it actually is a good alternative for exercizing. After a bit of researching I found there are two games that a reccommended for fitness with the Wii. The first game is Wii Fit Plus, which is the new improved version of the original Wii Fit, and the second game is EA Sports Active. Both games are pretty good for exercises but of course I would reccommend a proper gym anyday. Obviously bodybuilding is a not an option in these games, but things like yoga and stretching execises are well done.

Fitness First Gym 1 day free pass


Just came across this. Fitness First are doing a 1 day free pass. You are even allowed to use the sauna. Fitness First is a great gym, and if you are not sure about the gym, it is a good way to check it out. Just simply fill out guest membership form on their website.I have used Fitness First gym for a whole summer and had a great time. The only reason I am not using their gym now is because I am joined to a cheap student gym. But when I am finished univercity, I will definately rejoin. One word of advice, if you do decide to join, haggle with staff. The staff are basically sales people, their job is to make you pas as much as possible. Fitness First are also doing a short 6 week membership for only £49.50, where you also get 3 personal training sessions.

Domyos bench for only £39.99


Decathlon are selling a Domyos bench for only £39.99. Domyos is also a decent brand and not some cheap one that can easily break down. Delivery is an extra £14.99, however you can easily collect it yourself for free. The bench is great for beginners and it comes with a 5 year guarantee for the frame and 2 years guarantee for the parts. The bench can be positioned to incline, there are actually 2 incline positions and the obvious straight position. There is also a leg station for a leg workout. The maximum weight capacity for the leg station is 50kg, and the maximum capacity for the bar is 110kg.

The new Kellogs Krave cereal


Just s warning about this cereal. In my opinion this should not be marketed as a cereal, but as a treat or dessert. Kellogs have been slated in the past for promoting unhealthy cereal. One of their adverts had the Coco Pops monkey dressed in a school uniform saying EVER THOUGHT OF COCO POPS AFTER SCHOOL? The odd thing is that Kellogs is a partner for the Change4Life against anti-obesity campaign.Kellogs Krave is currently using social media marketing which to me is annoying when I keep seeing Kellogs Krave when using the internet. I have actually tried the cereal myself, it tastes nice, but I would not reccommend it as a regular cereal. I had the cereal every morning for 3 days straight and ended up with a stomach ache. Not to mention all that chocolate is bad for my teeth.

Sorry folks

Unfortunately I have lost all the old blog entries. When I was editing the design of my blog my computer crashed (due to a virus) and for some odd reason all the old blog entries got erased, not to mention all my files on my iPod are also corrupted. I have contacted Blogspot about this but got no reply.

I have decided to move on and create a completely new blog (yes that is why the site is black now), I will repost all the old blog entries in the following days, aswell a some new blog entries.

For people who do not know who Kelly Osbourne is, she is that overweight daughter of Ozzy Osborune. Well not anymore, she is now looking really slim and sexy. She has stated, she lost all that weight, by cutting back on carbohydrates and sugars.Cutting down on carbohydrates and anything with a lot of sugar is really one of the best ways to lose weight. There are many great diet plans out there, but it all goes down to LESS SUGAR, LESS CARBS. Of course carbohydrate is needed as it is the main source of energy to the human body. However a simple think like a rice cake is enough energy to get a person going. Also stay away from sugars, things like fizzy drinks are what people gain weight from. Replacing a fizzy drink with a glass of water can give huge results.
